Thread: Boat repair

I have an 89' model boat. The shine has faded over the years. I was thinking about get some clear coat or something to put on it. I would like to replace the rubber piece and the rope that wraps around the boat. Has anyone done any of this work or have any suggestions.

Check with West Marine, in Hermitage. they have the rub rails and rubbing compound for the gel coat. There are a lot of good fiberglass guys in Tn thanks to the many boat factories here. Check with some of them for gel coat help.
