    Default New Tennessee Record?

My buddy just caught a 4lb 14oz black outside of Maryville. Could this be a new record waiting to happen?

Nice fish! Where did you catch it? Norris is a good ways from Maryville Charger. That's a nice slab for sure. I think if I catch one 4 pounds around here I would have contacted the Wildlife and fisheries here in Tn. If not a state record its probaly a Lake record if you fishing a lake.....Drift_Wood

    Exclamation Utvf ....

It ain't any kind of record, without the proper paperwork, witness signatures, pictures, and a Wildlife Officer checking it for species purity.

Also .... does that scale measure in pounds & ounces --- or pounds & tenths of a pound Big difference between 4lb 14oz & 4.14lbs !! Even so .... he'd have to get it weighed on a certified scale, before any "record" weight could be established.
I sure hope he got all the necessary's taken care of, and that the fish does qualify as a record !! If it does certify as a 4lb 14oz fish ... it would equal the weight of the latest KY Record Crappie.
And even if it doesn't make the record books ..... it will make a real nice wall mount !!
Tell your friend CP said ......... luck2ya !! .......... cp
