Well me and my buddy went night stalking for Crappie on
Norris last night. I have to say I have'nt crappie fished at night in
quite a few years. We caught two nice keepers before it got
dark(one atleast 16 inches and one 12)both on minnows and I was
real excited. Once it got dark and we got the lights out it did'nt take
the shad long to start running. We started snagging the shad but never
got a hit on one the whole night. I did catch 2 more small crappie
not big enough to keep and that was it. So from 9:00 till 4:00 we only
caught 4 fish. I remember when I was a kid and dad would take us night
fishing on Norris and we'd catch crappie like crazy and a lot of stripe too. Well,
maybe next time. Wish I'd got a pic of the 16 incher!!!
Is it really a lot better fishing Douglas and Cherokee like everybody says?
