    Default East bound

I'll be in Gray,TN for about a week starting 04/30. I won't have a boat, but would like to meet some of the members and fish there. Also would like to do some target shooting. So if you would like a fishing partner for a few days, reply.

Fishing a covered marina on Boone Lake. Let least I get out in deeper water without a boat. I've caught 4, 12 1/2" crappies, my nephew says those are a lot bigger than what he's use to seeing. Got a wally world run to make this morning, find some minners and back on the boat slip later.
We floated the Watauga river yesterday. I caught 1 14" brown and a 14" rainbow, 6 more that were 12" to 10". But kept only the larger brown and all the rainbows. Lots of finger size trout caught.

Those trout sure make good striper and catfish bait. I have a friend who used to live on Watauga and that's pretty much his go to bait for big fish....And it is legal!

Well shucks I'm up this way, but have to work the whole week or I would go out an fish with ya. I'm so excited I'm picking up a 14' canoe from my brother in law at the end of the week. Plan to head to Davy Crockett lake and try my luck, I'm not having much luck with crappie from the bank any more at Boone.

it took 6 hours to find minners today. I fished the marina the rest of the day, 1 9 1/2" throw back. I'm at lake meadows, boone lake. I'll be up at first light, I hope. let's find some crappie.

I went to Winged Deer park yesterday evening and caught a 12 1/2" one on first cast, none others. Fished on the board walk.
Drove out to Kenny's for more minnows this morning. Returned to the park and caught 3, 9 1/2 inchers.
    Nice park
