Thread: Fished Britton Ford Friday

Fished from about 10 am till dark and caught 18 keepers with 8 nice slabs. All but one were black crappie. Every fish I caught was about a foot or less off the bottom in 12 to 16 foot of water. Didnt find anyone else that was doing much better. Trying to decide between deer hunting or trying the crappie again in the morning.

Decided on fishing instead of deer hunting. Again I fished from about 10 am till dark and brought home 18 keepers with two nice ones. Picked up a fish here and there all morniing in 12 to 17 foot of water. Tried 8 ft water and caught about 25 fish, most were 7 to 8 inches and several that were about the same size as the jig I was using. Didnt talk to anyone that seemed to be doing much better. Water temp 55 and I found pink jighead with a sparkle white tube got the most attention of the fish I found.
