Thread: Crappie on Old Hickory Sunday 11-15-2009

Got on the water a little late Sunday morning around 10:00 am or so and the lake was down in my estimation 3 feet or more and the temp was 59.8° and starting to get warmer as the sun got high. With those two variables to deal with I started hunting them on rocky points and around brush in no less than 20ft of water.... and found them in of all places in and around Shutes Branch Recreation area in 15 ft, did not catch many was was able to keep a few nice Crappie the rest were small. I heard from one of my friends that the lake is going to be kept very low through the end of November... at least the water temp is coming down.
