Thread: Today's Catch 11-5-09

Well I moved from town back to the country about one mile from my favorite fishing hole. Probably gonna be spending some time there often. Fished this afternoon about an hour before dark. Caught 24, well caught maybe 30 kept 24. About half came off brush in 20ft of water about 15ft deep with a blue/white crappie thunder. Then as the sun started down they moved up to about 7ft of water and tossed a jig under a float to get them about 2ft deep to avoid the brush below. Same fish, just moved up. I had a blast and the fish were very good sized. Enjoy!

Not much on bobber fishing..... But when in Rome............. The black crappie at Reelfoot will mostly come on a float/jig combo for the better part of the year. This spot I am fishing when I am not on Reelfoot should help me hone my skills with a float and casting a jig which i used both techniques to catch these. I am only 1 mile from the lake and I will never go hungry thats for sure.
