Thread: Good day yesterday

I went to favorite fishing hole yesterday and only took 3 doz. minnows .Turned out wasnt enough,was catching crappie all day (caught 26 )only had 7 keepersbut was having a ball.When i ran out of minnows i picked up my bass rod and thought i would try and catch some bass .I caught 9 bass in 45 mins.and 5 crappie on a 1/4 oz white spinnerbait,the crappie were eating the spinnerbait up.Like i said i had a ball would have caught more i think but hung a monster bass and he came up for a little dance on top of the water and i was not ready for him,some how my line wraped around the rod tip and when he went back down he was on a mission and it snapped my rod tip and he got off but it was an awesome day.Sorry for going on and on.Tommy

Sounds like a lot of fun, and you had enough for a mess to eat. That is a real good day in my book.

That's a good way to lose a rod tip...I usually just step on mine!!!!!

Last week the dog rolled down the power window in the truck. Didn't notice the tip of my favorite rod was stick out the window. Needless to say I am looking for a new spinning rod.
