Everyone has been asking about Reelfoot. Well we have been tight lipped for the most part and that was probably due to the poor fishing and hit and miss days. But The Reelfoot Yankee and I had a decent day yesterday. Spent a few hours in the rain and they bit just enough to keep us there. No Monsters and only a couple at 1lb, but a good mess of eaters. The bigger fish should start to move in to feed soon so hopefully we will have many more pictures post this fall.
We caught these fish mostly in 5.5-6.5fow water fishing very close to the bottom. Straight minnows although i did manage a few on jigs.

Reel foot yankee
nice mess!
Been to reelfoot on three different occasions but we were after bream, each time was a blow out for us. Besides RF has to many snakes for my taste.
To Whom Much Is Given, Much Is Required
Snakes are common from May-July but 90% are harmless. Most dont bother you anyway. I do most of my "bank" fishing during that time and never have a problem. I just stay clear of them and they stay clear of me. If one gets too close I poke him with a rod just to let hm know whos boss. If it gets within 10ft I just get more aggressive than the snake. Reelfoot in my opinion is the best crappie lake in the country. Once you learn to fish it, it produces well. No Offense to you, but the fewer visitors we have the better :D:D nah, i always welcome folks and am happy to help put people on some fish if I can.
