Karen and I spent the weekend at Lake James in NC at the Smokey Mountain Rally put on by BassBoatCentral.com.
Tourney was Saturday and man let me tell you. It rained from launch until Sunday. Everyone, including us was struggling to find fish. We had one fish in the livewell at 12:30 when I finally picked up a spinnerbait. With only a few minutes left to fish, I set the hook on a hawg. My knees were knocking trying to get her to the boat without spitting the hook. Karen done a good job with the net and we got her in. Its almost weigh in time and the thunder starts rolling so we crank up and head in. We ended up with second place with 7.4 lbs. The hawg was 6.8 lbs and won bigbass.
