Yea they run out of minnows for a day because this time of year they dont buy as much. Not many catching crappie in big numbers as far as I know. Reelfoot is one of the Tennessee lakes that if you come on ask "what, when, where, and how" your probably not going to get a straight answer. But if you want a good mess of crappie all I can say is they are tight to the stumps, better be prepared to fish all day, and if you get into them better hold it down cause we sit in the brush with binoculars when the fishing is tough............... I fished 7fow today on the bottom for 4 hours and caught 20 / kept 5. I fished 7fow yesterday on the bottom and caught 0. Fished 4fow yesterday afternoon about 45 mins and caught 3. Fished last Sunday in an undisclosed location with a jig pole and caught 12 in a couple hours. :D I know where they are, but they are hard to catch... At least for me anyway.

Man. I dont feel like I am capable of putting people on crappie all the time. I will guide some for crappie.com people but I wont be doing any real serious guiding anytime soon. I like to "hunt" fish as much or more than i like to catch then. yankee will tell you that. I am still learning to fish certain times of the year and certain situations. For instance I cant catch a fish off a tree? I jsut havent been able to do it. Pads I do a little better. Banks and brush I have done well at. Stumps and trolling I do ok. But when and if I can catch crappie 12 months out of the year I may consider some guiding to support my habbit but I already have my own business and it takes all I got to run a family, business, and fish a couple days a week. You know I dont mind helping you Lynn. I would like to see you fish more areas of the lake. Heck, I would like to see all my "buds" fish more areas of the lake. No one to compare notes with except on the lower blue.....

    Justin,
I should try more places and that is one thing you do really well is trying different things and places. If I just had more time on the water! I had to come in today and work. But this boy is sick and I really hope this FLU thing does not get wide spread. Yall have a good day.

Yeh it takes alot of effort, esp. when day's are slow, very slow and you are folowing everthing that we have learned that makes the fish bite and they still dont bite you just have to still keep HACKING AWAY Ive been doing it for about three weeks now and have seen 1 boat hammering the heck out of them and when i got close enough to see what they were catching it happend to be everything and any thing from 6 inche's to 10
But there is always going to be the one's that are hammering them!! That fishing!
