Thread: going to paris landing this sunday

i was looking for some suggestions of where to fish, depth of water, and hoe deep to fish for crappie. i am trying to learn more about the big sandy and it is a tough area to fish. any help is great. thanks

Why is it so tough? Honest question, I've never fished there.

The water level is already coming down, are you gonna put in at the Paris Landing Marina? If so, be careful getting down to Big Sandy, there are some flats and you can end up in very shallow water when you think you're in the middle. If you're fishing Big Sandy, I'd put in at the Port Road ramp, the Britton Ford ramp, or down at the old pumphouse ramp in West Sandy Creek.
