Limped out there tonight in my boat, with my trim issues. Cloudy, water temp 78 degrees, no moon, very little wind, barometer 29.87 and steady. Didn't run too far, anchored in 40 foot of water and got skunked from 6:30 - 8:30.
We made a few adjustments and caught 11 crappie - ten keepers - and one fiddler cat fishing 16 ft deep. All fish came tightlining on minnows and the Capps and Coleman rig was responsible for only one fish. Single hook rigs ruled the night, and big fish was 12.5.
The bite was VERY light, the only fish that took it and ran was the catfish, and most of the other fish seemed to take the bait and continue swimming further up into the water column. I hope this helps.
