Default placing structure

i am building structure with 3gallon buckets and putting pvc. wood stakes. and cedar trees in them. i fish cheathan lake and the area is pretty much a main river channel with a few creeks. the creeks however only get around 6feet deep at the most. i have placed most of my structure around drops in the river that are not really drastic. most of the time when you come out of a creek the water changes from 5feet to over 30 in a flash. however there are a few areas where the drops are not as drastic and that is where i have concentrated. depth range 15 to 22 feet deep if anyone could help further with structure placement please respond and i will try to provide more info if need be thanks .

I would mainly stick with pvc structure cause you dont hang up on them as much.Cedar throws off and acid type that keeps the fish away plus the limbs on cedar are easy to snag and the fish wont hold to them as well. But old pvc lawn furniture pipe stuff like that makes it great.
