A bunch of fisherman ranted and raved when they changed the crappie limit to 15 here on Tellico. Now the same people are complaing because they can't catch a limit of 15. Myself I don't have a problem with it.

How many of you would drive 100+ miles if you could only catch 15 fish and only have 30 in your possession while your there?

Looks like I will get to cull a lot of fish.

TWRA went from one extreme to another. 20 would be a good number. 30 is really too many for any one day.

This will cut down on the winter/spring slaughter.

Do we git ta vote on it?

I really like the proposed increase in the Beech lakes. I have been fishing them almost exclusively since the length restriction was raised earlier this year (and since gas is so high). Catching 15 fish 8" long has been no problem in a 2-4 hour trip with bunches of shorter throwbacks. These lakes are absolutely full of what appear to me to be stunted fish, big eyes, big heads but small bodies.

Hmm....only way this makes any difference is if TWRA actually goes out and checks everybody that fishes. And they don't have the resources or manpower for that.

Yep. They spread pretty thin. Better them manpower thin than have the state run things. The state could screw up a anvil.

That may be a little harsh. The State has a lot of good men and women trying to preserve our resources. (Some are members of this forum) Like any agency though, they can be a little overzealous at times. I do like your idea of a 20 fish creel limit. Nice compromise and about as many as anyone needs for a day.
