Default crappie fishing cheatham lake

crappie fishing on cheatham lake in the summer and winter is tough there is not much deep cover for the fish. most crappie seem to suspend in open water around baitfish. has anyone had any luck this summer. i have caught a few. i have put out some beds in deeper water but no action there yet.

I am from over in the West and certainly agree with the trolling in Winter. We catch many crappie in deep water trolling during winter. Back in the very late winter, my wife and I caught seven fish weighing 12.65 pounds and we were wrapped up so tight in clothes my wife couldn't hardly see out of here hood. You know your wife loves you when she'll get out there with you at that time of year..
