Default Knoxville

Hello fellow posters! I will be venturing to Knoxville this weekend for the first time. I won't be bringing my jon boat with me, but I was wondering if there are any good places to catch fish from banks. My kids would love to get some fishing in. We'll be staying at the Strawberry Best Western off I-40. We love to fish for bream, crappie, catfish and bass

Hey Primes,

All those places Sinkum mentioned are good ones. I have seen a lot of people fishing from the rocks at the bridge in Indian Creek on Douglas. I actually caught the biggest crappie of my life off those rocks a couple of years ago.
I have also seen quite a few people fishing from the bank near the ramp at Panther Creek State Park on Cherokee.
Hope you have a great visit to Knoxville and find some fish to catch with your children!

Default Thanks Guys in Knoxville Area

I didn't get to fish the Dam.. But while picnicking at a little park off the Holston River.. in a spot that I found out was actually a creek feeding tinto Holston.. Man, the fish were wonderful and the Place was beautiful! I saw a fella nailing Trout/ or Gizzard shads, whichever.. he was nailing Bream, and even a Striper (IN A CREEK). Man, I gotta come back up there, I know it's a 2:30 trip but it's worth it!
