Default Douglas Report/Boat Leak

Went out for a little while yesterday evening. Launched at the free launch by the the dam and ran up the way a couple of miles. My brother caught one of the whisker crappies and decided to keep it for the pond. I thought I was turning on the livewell air and hit the bilge and WOW 4 gallons or more came out. I thought we were sinking. I haven't hit anything and the plug was surely in. Anyway, we ran back to the dock and trailored up. After a inspection of the boat, I re-launched. We made the same run and again took on a bunch of water. I had enough by then and headed in. As I was running I noticed my speedometer was not working. Guess what? The water tube had becamed disconnected and I was pumping it in. What a time for one catfish. Poor ole Dave.

Glad you found the problem mine was taking on water and it turned out to be a live well hose with a hole in it.

Heck Dave, at least it's a good story and you didn't have to pay a bunch to get the leak fixed!

Dave
Glad it was not something serious like hole in boat.
Don't fill to bad about 1 cat, I went today and fish till about 3 pm, caught 1 crappie and other species also. Fish alot of places and burned alot of fuel.
I had a cat on my 12' pole I couldn't get off the bottom for 15 minutes, finally straighten the wire hook out. Gotta back again though.
