you needed to fish on duck river, try to fish in 8-12 ft of water and work from there

Several good spots on Kentucky Lake north of Waverly. There used to be a good landing about 5-8 miles North on Hwy 574 or Clydeton Rd., out of Waverly. I fished there once and caught LM bass on top water popper lures, but the whole area is good for fishing crappie or gills, too. The place was called Clydeton Boat dock, according to the map its a large bay like area off the the main river channel. There looks like several other boat docks in the area. But as close as you are to Waverly, I'd sure see if any of the locals at the bait shops would give you some good spots to check out. Wish I lived closer to the area. I'd love to be able to just go there every chance I got.

Catfish for weight - cut skipjack at the mouth of Duck river just north of Cuba landing.

Catfish for numbers - Liver, worms, cut bait and other in the coal harbor at New Johnsonville

Of course these are best at different times of the year. For now the best is usual drifting at night fishing through the area at the mouth of the Duck. If you get up to Cuba and explore towards the Duck, Eagle creek is on the opposite side of the river from Duck. It is a large open bay with decient dropoffs. Crappie stack up in there in the spring and fall. Its pretty sheltered if windy but a dog to get to if so.
