Any of y'all heard of the "ANTIVIRUS 2009" yet? What a sales pitch!

It's a rogue program, sort of a bait and switch deal, where the program gives you lots of false information about stuff that's on your computer (when it really isn't) ... in order to get you to "buy" the commercial version. In fact, it's actually adding more junk, or allowing more, to come into your system. It's a clone program, self replicating on startup, and is "infected", itself.

Oh it hit my desk top comp and dang I ran every thing in the world on it to get it gone.Tried deleteing it and it wouldnt go away ran spam ware programs other virus things finally I worked on it all day Sunday and got it gone.Then my laptop the wife was doin something on it and it crashed and lost all my pictures and stuff on it.

There's also a free download program, called Belarc Advisor. This download will take a snapshot of your entire system, and detail it on a page. This info will tell you what your system has in it, as far as hardware & software, and programs. Good info to know !! It needs to be manually updated, every once in awhile, but that's quick and easy to do (you're prompted thru the whole process). It's free to home/personal use .... commercial/business use is not permitted (but, can be purchased).

Well my windows defender, spy-sweep,trend micro anti virus has got this thing at bay Hope it stays that way. I think it came in from youtube site
