Default Cottonport Area

Had a great time today. started early and caught 20 with 8 keepers. As long as they (TVA) are generating at Watts Bar they will bite. Most taken in 6- 10ft of water on minnows near the grass beds in the creek mouths on both sides of river. All fish are very healthy. While crossing the channel to the other side there was lots of fish on the graph in the 25 to 30ft areas hanging close to bottom. Could be crappie could be bream but there were lots of them. I didn't bother to fish for them being as having success withwhat I was doing and was short on time. Water temp I think was 83 and hard time keeping minnows alive for more than 10 min.

Do you need a "river boat" to get in that area or can you go in a deeper running fishing boat?

Default Launch Area's

You can put in at Goodfield launch area that has 2 ramps area and can accomadate most boats- Pontoons, Flatbotttoms and Bassboats. If its something bigger you may have to launch below Watts Bar Dam. This launch is pretty deep 6-10 ft.
