Default Paris Landing 2009

Well, the weather wasn't entirely cooperative and the fishing wasn't either, but the fellowship was wonderful! I hope that everyone had a good time in spite of the rain, wind and scattered fish. As always, the best part of these events is getting to meet new folks and being reunited with old friends. It always feels like you're among family.

I hope none of y'all went home empty handed Saturday night! A big thank you goes out to all of the folks who contributed door prizes - I'd list all of you, but I'm afraid of leaving someone out. There were some awesome looking jigs made by our crappie.commers that I can't wait to try out on the next fishing trip.

We managed to keep a campfire going from Tuesday night all the way through Sunday (My mom and Dena are the queens of the campfire )and it was great to have folks sitting around the fire telling fish tales. I hope everybody enjoyed themselves as much as we did and we're looking forward to the next one!

Flutterby and I had a great time. Glad to have met everyone in attendence.
We thought we brought enough wood for the weedend, glad the park had a
few trees down to add to what we had. Saturdays dinner and fellowship was great.
After packing sunday, we headed out on the water with 3 dozen minnows. First line in the water produced a 4 lb. drum, an addition to one of the flowerbeds. 4 hours later, the only fish in the boat.
While leaving we wrote down names and numbers of the private campgrounds from the koa to port rd area. We will be checking them out for another trip soon. Thinking of being closer to the ramp. If we don't like what they offer, we can always return to the landing.

I enjoyed it, Weather was not that great for fishing. But the fellowship was out of this world.
Vonna and Paul thanks for all that both of you did making this week work. Also for getting a truck fixed faster then a speeding crappie. I think both of you need to run for office. HEHE Could have the country back up in 3 days also.
Marilyn and I had a great time. May be heading back next week for a quick trip.
Enjoyed every bit of it. Looking forward to the next one.
Pete

PS don't let Billbob be your copilot LOL we got to see lots of country that I'm not sure is on the maps.

Hey Vonna and Paul. Thank You both for being such wonderful hosts this past weekend. Me and Bret had a great time and the food was soooooo good. We are already looking foward to next year. Everyone was so nice and friendly to us and made us feel welcome. I now have faces to put to the names on here even though I cannot remember them all. Maybe Tom will post the names with faces on the pictures. Thanks again for being so nice to us.
