Default Ocean Striper run up the Roanoke River

The ocean stripers run up the Roanoke river in North Carolina every year in about March to spawn. I just learned about this and I understand that it is quite a thing to see. I have understood that many hook up with a hundred fish a day on the river during this time of year and that people from far and wide travel to Weldon to fish this run. Sounds like a lot of fun to me. I think I am gonna give it a try this year. Anyone know if there is an accessable bank fishing site in that area and any pointers on how to fish them would be greatly appreciated.
