Default Adverse Weather / Crappie Bite

Looks like we are in for some adverse, cooler weather this coming weekend in the Lake Hartwell area. Can we get some feedback on what to expect the Crappie to be doing in this weather pattern since it has been so nice the past week or so? Thanks for your help & consideration! Good Luck to All!

to be honest I think the adverse weather has more effect on the fisherman than the fish. I've fished many tournments and to be honest someone always catches the fish.(most of the time it wasn't me). What I'm saying is the weather though its been nice a couple days or so hasn't really gotten into a spring or early summer pattern yet. So unless the water muddys up or moves from current then I don't think they'll do much more than move a little deeper or hang to cover tighter.

I hope also some more folks would've chimed in too.
    If you don't get hung every-once-n-a-while you ain't jigg'n it right..:D

From what I have seen this week they seem to be real tight to cover and are not willing to move away to feed. I don't think this weather will move the crappie off from around the cover but they will move deeper for a few days. I did a lot of riding and looking at the depth finder yesterday and didn't see any schools away from the brush top or any cover. I would say if you are catching crappie this week fish the same way next week, just a little deeper.

You folks hit it right.....Spent 2 days (3/13 & 3/15) on Hartwell w/ minnows. Fish were deeper & tighter to cover. Had to put that minnow right on the sweet spot or you wouldn't get bit. Caught 15 on 3/13 & 15 on 3/15. Will post pics ASAP. Also got one nice 2.5# Spot. I know those aren't big numbers, but I am a beginner and having fun more than anything. Good Luck!
