I could use some advice on how to catch fish there. We did get 7 keepers Sat, one was a big cat and one was a white bass. And I had one on that I sure would have like to seen.![]()
In the past ...yes. The ramp is steep and there have been problems with a few break-ins in the past. Make sure your boat has a shallow draft or you might find out why it's called "Stumpy Pond." Great place if you catch it right. The water has been to turbulent the last couple of times I went to look at it and decided elsewhere. Haven't checked any after that this spring. If the "Fishing Creek Flood Gates" are open you can forget it. That was right after the last big rain. Anyone else have a later up-date?
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left.
I fished there a lot last year and did pretty good aout around the island.
I have not been lately But will be soon. BUT WATCH out for the stumps
i havent fished stumpy in years, but theres been some chatter going on about the fishing down there. maybe one the pond veterans will get a chance to chime in with some info...
listen with your eyes---its the only way to beleive what you hear...
