Thread: Hartwell

Fished hartwell today caught several in five feet of water but had a lot of trouble keeping the boat inplace due to the wind. The water temp was 59 but still muddy in the creeks.

Hang in there, the water will clear up and the crappie will start biting soon. With the wind today you did good to stay on the water!!

Same here. Went up gumlog and thought I was going to get blown away. Caught a striper in the standing timber. Got a huge slab back a the marina though. Pretty nice day all and all.

Yes, that wind was tough. Got 1 really nice slab (1 1/4lb.) early on a minnow, then hit the brush piles again mid-afternoon after most left the lake. Did well with a jig slow rolled & picked-up a few more on minnows. Total of 10 fish. Not really much, but a nice day on the lake.
