Thread: Allison Report 03.07.2009

Got out with the wife about noon stayed till 4:00. Water at noon was 51 degrees. In back of pockets at 4:00 it was at 58 degrees. If weather stays like this it is goining to be good soon. Water in both Allisons was coffee and cream. Saw lot of bait and some fish. I believe it is going to be soon. Every fricken ocean liner was out today. Allison ramp was jammed full. Now I remember why I do not fish on Saturdays.

Thug hit a bubblegum jig. We do not say pink it was bubblegum.

Got my first fish on my new poles. Yes I did not kiss the thug.

Yep , you can forget fishing on sat. now! We were on Norman today and every one that owed a boat was out there to day! I dont fish on the weekends much in warm weather. I remembered why, today!

Brett be on WP alert. Today I saw some WP breaking surface in spawn cove. Warm weather holds out it is this week or next. And the WP slaughter will begin.

looks like perch sales will be my only income this year with the Rango book deal falling through.

I'll have to try a perch hunt next week sometime if the weather holds and the mud clears

that new SI sonar would have made all the difference on this trip

the book deal aint fell through. you just need to talk to ed about publishing it. ive done enough writing the past few weeks to last me a lifetime and aint writing anything else. theres lots of good stuff that would make an interesting book, but you just need to go through the right channels to get er done. old rango aint it. :D

with the time change some the folks limited to weekends can get in some evening trips through the week after work now. you can forget the weekends and the best times is mon-thurs in the mornings, if you daytripping. us retirees can pick and choose.... retirement is great...:D

]/QUOTE]back when i done a lot of longlining, you could almost be guranteed some thugging action if you put on some bubble gum sliders. something about that color that strikes the catfishes fancy.
