    Default non-ethanol gas

I was in Columbia the other day and bought gasoline at City Gas station on Bush River road. It's across the street from the new super Wally-Mart. Thought you boaters in the area would be interested. I'm in Florence.....wished I could get a barrel full.

I get my gas on HWY #9 between pageland and lancaster (M&R mini mart). There is not a sticker on the pump like the bigger stations where I have seen the"contains ethanol"so I asked if his gas had ethanol,he said his does not,so that makes me feel a lot better.

    Default gas suggestion...

a good friend of mine that works at the local marine shop suggested that i disconnect the gas line loose from where it connects to the motor (not the tank) and run it 'till the motor quits on every trip - he said the quality of our gasoline can cause major problems, even after only a few days. i've been doing just as he suggested for over a year now and haven't had any problems with my motor starting and running. this works extremely well for those of us with the smaller and older motors, according to my buddy.

    hope it helps someone else,
