    roho, the boss hog of my yard hens seems to favor his new perch on the beast. id make him the mascot but hes afraid of the dark.....

    he may find himself in the cooking pot if he dont quit so much crowing. he starts every morning at 3:30 and its almost non stop till after daylight.. hes got 7 hens and i guess if i had that many to myself i do some crowning to.... free roaming yard birds make some great dumplings. they have a different taste than the force fed chemical raised birds you get at the grocery store.

    The kitties really like chicken too... O Roho might want to rethink his crowing schedule around the catfish tourney time.

    Yeah our chickens think they got to crow every minute they can. Rango have you ever found any of your chickens with their throats cut out? I have lost 8 chickens like that maybe a weasel? If i see him im gonna put the true meaning in to pop goes the weasel

    We had a problem a few years back with Opposum doing this and how we found out was set a trap inside the hen house...and you may not believe this but that rascal had pulled a chicken through the wire and the only thing it did was gnaw its throat out....Kinda strange...so we shot possums for a few nights..
