Thread: Hartwell Catch part II

Finally got to get Crappie Buster off the bank and take him to some of my prize honey holes and mother nature decided to intervene. Got to the first bed and the wind managed to keep us swiftly blowing in every direction except the one we need to be in, managed to pull one fish off before the cursing and wind rage set in. Moved on to the next bed(same wind coming from a different direction!!) Pulled the jigs through the bed a bunch and came up with nothin. Finally started workin the bank right before dark and picked up a nice rooster and an aggessive little redbreast. I guess that's fishin, but the best part is we'll get to try it again. Next time I think I'll let him take me to his hole off the bank!

Although mother nature might have gotten the best of us it was still a fun trip and I want to thank Ridgerunner for taking the time to take me out and do some reel crappie fishing. I intend to return the favor on Murray one of these days.

As they say, "A bad day on the lake is better than a good day at work!" And that is the truth.
