Fished around Joe Rampey yesturday, 6-9pm. Couple white bass, and some minnow stealing was about all. Ran into a fella that had fished all day and had just caught his first fish of the day. Guy at the bait shop said they wher catching them in the coves last week.

I havent been in a few days. Last time I nightstalked I caught a limit or more. Still fishing in 30' of water and caught 'em 20' down. ('Course I always fish these depths.) Theyre getting full of eggs too.

Reeltime, I'm planning on going out tonight and will post whether we catch any or not. Hopefully, today's warm temps will turn 'em back on again. I have several days of vacation coming up throughout this month so I'm hoping they'll bite good enough to fill coolers before April gets here!

    REELTIME,

We nightstalked last night on Russell at Allen Creek and were skunked. We set up before dark and fished until 10pm, and never even had a bite. It was our first time out this year and we had high hopes. We were originally planning on going to Keowee but decided on Russell because we thought it was a better game plan for us. Obviously we should have gone to Keowee. We talked to two other boats that were nightstalking near us and they hadn't caught any fish either. The water was moving up the creek, and was very dingy, but I don't know if that is the reason why the bite wasn't on. One of the other fishermen claimed that the bite is not good when the lake is rising, but I don't know about that.

I hope you have much better sucess this weekend.

StnSC hard to belive man I fish Allen Creek a good bit of the time. Sort of the home honey hole. Looks like I,m going to have to up the Nitro content. Was there 3 weeks ago caught 1 under the bridge. Decided to stay another nite and moved down to the landing below Loundsville Fished the bridge there all nite an got 14. Game Warden wanted to know what kind of powder I was using. Told him 80/20 looks like I need to load the 60/40. (LOL) Never been skunked at Russell. But all ways a first time. Keowee Lots O times just can,t catch,em there. Even tride throwin the tackel box in to let them have there pic. Russell is my lake. Am going to try Jocasse a lot this year want to learn to fish that lake. But Any way We r off to have a CRAPPIE weekend at Russell. Thanks for the Info. A Bad Day FISHIN is BETTER than a Good Day at Work
