After a long and fruitless time trying to catch crappie at Greenwood,I went out and got some minnows.Caught 5 yesterday evening(a miracle by my standards). They were in 3 to 4 feet of water, about 5 feet from the bank.Water temp was 58 degrees and the winds were moderate from the west.Water was slightly stained.
Filleted them out, fried them up and...My wife loved the crappie(Yes!!!!) She insisted that I go again today.:D
I hope everone has a most blessed day and great catches of joy..
Sounds like a fine day to me :D
John 21:3
Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We are going with you also." They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.
And we act like this Nightstalking thing is new.
For some excitment, read the next verse. A special guest arrived, they filled their coolers and had a fish fry on the beach...in the morning. My kind of people.- Bowfin
Amen Bowfin. Congrats Manhattan. Sounds like you have a great, understanding wife as wellI'd be back out there today but have to do some work around the house. Where on the lake were you that those fish were up shallow?
I was fishing about a 2 miles down the lake from the 72 bridge. It is pretty cool and windy today but maybe it will be warmer this afternoon.
I hope you have a most blessed day..![]()
There's NOTHING like a mess of fresh fried fillets....well, err, maybe some small ones on the bone!! LOL. Congrats on catching dinner.![]()
