Put in at the "WOOD" at around 6:30 last night talked to a couple of boats pulling out at Shriners and they both said they had only caught 1 fish a piece all day..Well here goes my mind "Oh Crap we aint gonna catch nothing"..
Boy was I wrong, motored up to the Seaboard tressell and started catching them right off the bat, decent fish too..I was shocked to say the least.Fished till 12:30 and caught steady all night. We fished till we killed off 6 dozen minnows, thats the only reason we left.
Final tally was brought 25 home(they will be cooked this afternoon with Yanks hushpuppy recipe) and probably threw back another 25 or 30 that were left to grow for another day,and also a few perch that were to small to eat and a 3-4 pound thug...
Water is still hanging around 74.8-74.2 degrees, was fishing in 22'-23' of water and catchin fish in 16'-18'..Minnow size didnt seem to matter at all they would take the big ones as well as the small.. Could tell they were hungry because over half of them swallowed the hook.Hence bringing home about 5 that I normally would let live for another day..

It isnt much of a recipie I am afraid. All there is to it is house of autries hushpuppie mix and I add canned corn and onions, and if you like a little heat I add some jalapinos. All chopped fine. It isnt much but I cant eat fish without hushpuppies.
