Wateree/Stripers/Grandsons
Spent this afternoon on wateree with my two grandsons. 14 and 15. Sat in the front of the boat, not my usual seat, and let them have the back with all the good rod holders. I got a twenty foot CC and its wide; two young boys, nearly men, but with the ways of boys still, made the CC feel like a small closet. It was fun and I had a great time. Didn't fish much as I was the official casting person since neither of them could cast a casting reel. They tried several times but tangled lines took more time than just casting all the bait. We managed to put four stripers in the boat in six hours. Three at 3 lbs and one at nearly 5 lbs. Saw Rango up at the dam. He will have a nice report for us. There were lots of boats and lots of people at the boat/camping/landing and today was Friday. I bet you won't be able to turn a boat around on Saturday it will be shore to shore boats. The stripers are hitting and hitting good.
