Hit the lake at about 10am no hurry, didn't catch anything to brag about until about 2pm trolling anywhere from the big rock all the way up to the damn they came in spurts of 2 or 3 fished until about 6 ended up with 9 male and 2 female, males where all around 3 and the female where 5 and 6 pounds.Went back today after lunch fished for 5 hours and only had one bite.

hey sand1man, What's the difference to look for male/female Thanks for the info,that's the way i tell but it's after the fact. Just wondered about some certian feature.

only way I know is when I fillet them, this time of year, the female have eggs and the males, well if you squeeze to hard they make a mess in your boat, but it's obvious right know which sex they are when you cut them open and for the most part when they are spawning you can tell by the mess the males make or the bulge in they females. As far as summer and fall I have never really paid attention
