Default What would be a good price....Boat

I have a guy I'm talking to about 1997 Duracraft 20ft center console welded aluminum boat with trailer and 90 johnson. Said he is going to think on a price, What would a good offer be to buy the boat. Its in good to excellent shape, no trolling motor or big extras, just boat, motor, and trailer. Its green with the factory sprayed liner in it.

    Thanks in advance:
    Catto

you can look on the web for used boat prices and this should give you a ball park figure of what it's worth. There is a site like Kelly Blue book for cars. I hope this helps

the motor is the key, good motor = good deal on a used boat
bad (meaning lot of little repairs) = eventual replacement and a bad deal.

have a mechanic look it over if you get real serious,, super cheap insurance and if he says it needs X, then you have a bargaining chip

If you want to buy it at that price then offer 5500. He may just say he'll take 6500 for it that way. I would imagine the motor costed 8500+ new, boat costed 2K+ new, and the trailer 500-1000. If it's in great shape that would be a bargain if it's the boat you want. One thing for sure....I'm envious of anybody with an open boat that is longer than 16'. I know I'd love to have that extra room.
