    Default What gives ????

Yesterday I read on here that there were several crews making ready for war on Wylie last night. So this morning I log on ready to live vicariously through OT and Rango and Josh by reading their blistering posts about all the fish they caught. What about you Pete ?? I am holding on to hope that the bite was so good last night that the boys are just now trailering their boats and heading home to give me some inspiration. Maybe still sleeping in from the late night of lifting (slabs that is not meds) and just haven't go the energy to spend typing right now. I'm sure thats what it is right guys ?............Come on your'e killing me.

    Big E,
you got a good imagination going there. You ought to be a writer or something. But I figured them to be sleeping good with all the rain we're getting in columbia today.

That rain makes for some good sleeping...

You was a lot closer to a master last night than you would be on my boat.Pete is one of the boys that showed me the ropes back in the day.Pete was at one time the prodigy aboard the beast and regularly outfished the rest of us. I think it was the ugly stiks what drove Pete away as he seems to have an unnatural hatred for such a fine product.Only thing your gonna get on my boat that you didn't get last night is a cup of coffee or a warm heater to sit by on a clod night , as for fish , you did just fine for a first night out.Thats pretty close to two limits and between two people that is an honorable haul. You wanna get close to real master , try and get a ride aboard the beast and watch Davey and Travis put Rango to bed. They are like fishing ninjas watching 18 rods apiece and never will a fish fall from a hook and not hit a net with Travis aboard.Rango has them boys trained well and believe me your money is never safe in a fishing pool with their names on the envelope

i remember when pete first started fishing with me. a greenhorn school kid and all his nightstalkin experience was mostly fishing off of a pier over at copperhead and green carping.. hes doing better since i think hes mostly give up green carping but still got a long way to go. his disdain for ugly sticks reveals how far he still has to go before he becomes a true creature of the night all these boys outfish me now, (except of course pete) but then nobody expects a 61 year old to compete against a 25 or 30 year old in an olympic event and win. to me it aint about winning anymore but just being able to be there. all them old men you see on the sidelines is the ones thats making winners on the playing fields. davey and travis is two of the best nightstalkers ive ever had on the beast. and like eric said, its a wise man indeed who dont bet against em. ot is coming on strong and the other night he manned the front of the beast like hes determined to annilate crappos soldiers and their perch underlings. he moved like a cat up there grabbin rods and yankin fish. now that ive insured the regular crew wont jump ship i gotta say all you guys thats fished with me over the years have held your own aboard the beast and ive enjoyed every minute of every trip even tho just about all of you outfish me (except of course pete)
