few days ago i built a 15 gallon "holding" tank that i have under the house that i am using to keep extra herring instead of always needing to go net some whenever i want to go fishing. few days ago, i put about 3-4 dozen in there. 4 days later, ALL are still in there and still kicking even after last nights below freezing night.
the filter, fittings, pump and everything else only cost approx $30. tonight will be the big test if they survive the 20 degree night. maby i need to add a heater :D
if at first you dont succeed............drink another beer
Gotta go.......FISH ON !!
I only fish on days that end in"Y"
I dont think you will have a problem with the cold as much as the heat killing them.
yeah, heat is gonna be your problem, especially with no more water than 15 gallons
listen with your eyes---its the only way to beleive what you hear...
Pete,if you need a bigger one,I know feller that had a 500 gallon with a valve on the bottom for $125.00 several weeks back. its bout 5 -6 ft dia.(round) and mabey 3 ft high.
HEY,,WATCH THAT YELLOW ROD
if i get something that big in the yard, im sure my parents would shoot me as well as the homeowners association crap getting ancy about it :D
