Were the fish still on the banks or did you have to fish deeper? I wanted to try yesterday (4 April) but those 25-30 mph winds made me decide otherwise!

We were trolling Jigs in 12 to 15 ft of water. the few we caught were on curly tail white. I was was watching the Bank Beaters and they didn't seem to be doing that well. SO I beleive the bank bite is over. Except for a straggler here and there.
I hope this weather stabalizes as I want to go Nite Stalking next week.

YOU just KNOW you ate it up !!! I do not have any grands yet ,nor am I in a hurry for any since the kids are still kids, BUT I do love the look in a kids eyes when they have a fish on !!

I went with my son wed. afternoon we did not start fishing until 545 we fished until sundown and caught 17 keepers we caught them trolling over a creek channel on the upper end of rocky river down below lake secession dam I belive the bank bite here on russell is just about over for the most part.
