Hey Jerry,
I’ve fished there most all my life. You can catch them there in big numbers but there’s not a lot of good sized ones. The majority of them are less than 10”. I’ve caught a few better ones in the spring and fall but they seem pretty scarce.
As for what to try.?.? Everything seems to produce. I’ve pushed, pulled, vertical jigged, cast jigs at structure, shot docks, pulled cranks, and nothing seems to out produce anything else. As for color...anything with black or orange works well. Be prepared to compete with the white perch population there. If you like them, there’s plenty. Hope this is helpful.
