    Default Wateree cats 5-21-18

We made a change in direction this morning. Catfish bite was hot this morning up in the river. We only fished 2 spots in about 25'. The bite got hot when they started running water. We caught about 30 cats up to about 12 lbs. For some reason, I missed about twice as many fish as I got to the boat. Bait was cut herring & cut perch.

They had the flood gates open today so there was a ton of flow. Lake is really low however.

They were running water from about 6:30 till about 9 both Monday & today. I have not heard anyone catching perch in cedar creek. However, today when I would throw my cut bait up toward shallow water, I would get a lot of hits but catch anything. These were probally perch.
