Just wanted to let everyone to check your trailers regularly. Today I took a trip to catch some slabs, but as I looked in the rearview (20 miles from home) I saw a wobbly wheel on my trailer. Seems some J/A decided that he wanted my bearing buddies more than I did, and it seems all the grease escaped from the hubs. Thank God I saw it when I did and didn't end up dragging my trailer down the road. It took three hours of my fishing time for my brother to get new bearings and come to my aid so we could replace them on the side of the road. I will from now on look everytime that I take my boat out of the water. One of the only two places this boat has been was Lake Russell, but I guess it can happen anywhere.

I had a berring cap come off, and about lost a wheel like you. I have been meaning to get a whole hub assembly to leave in my boat. Got the whole hub with bearings intalled, and already greased for around $25 a year ago. Also make sure you have a file with you to smooth out the shaft to get the new hub back on.

thats why i got a dog! you can protect your dog just like a member of your family ,but not your property. if they take your stuff you cant really touch em. but if they touch your dog......that is if he dont eat you for lunch first.lol. and its not just thieves that are rude anymore. i've had my trailer hit three times lately and no-one bothered to eveen leave a note.and i can actualy park between the lines!

Same thing happened to me, I found out who broke in my house and went after them with a baseball bat I would have shot them but that is what they stole was my guns so I guess I was lucky or I would have been up for murder.

Its bad that you can't trust people anymore.A buddy of mine was at Lugoff one day and when he went to back his trailer in to load his boat some sorry you know what had took his hitch pin out of his reese hitch and the trailer with ball and reciever came off while he was backing down the ramp and went in the river and washed down the bank.So if you don't have a locking pin get one.

Not sure of your circumstances but you do NOT have a duty to retreat in your house. If someone is in your house or immediate yard (crucible) and they
are putting you or family member or anyone else for that manner, in fear of your/their life you may deal with them as you see fit. If I catch them in my house they will be leaving feet first.

Hey Carl, seems clear by your speech that you are a cwp holder, such as myself. Check out the castle doctorine/and or ordinance. Have not done so yet, but understand, from good sources, that you now have no duty to retreat if you are in a place where you have a legal right to be.
