Way to go Tim those smiles tell the whole story and lots of nice fish caught. Thanks for sharing with us, the pictures were beautiful and you are one blessed man.
The fishing seems to be improving with each trip here of late. Last weekend Tommy and I gave'em a go on Friday. That day was similar to many this year. A decent mess of fish were caught, but you had to work your tail off to catch them.
On Saturday, I went it alone and caught a nice limit much quicker while focusing mainly in shallower waters while using live bait.
This weekend I fished solo on Friday mainly running and gunning trying to determine a starting spot and game plan for Saturday's annual Big Daddy fishing event. This was a jig only day, and the fish were up and aggressive. A nice box of crappie was caught, along with two large mouth bass.
On Saturday I had the honor of taking my grand son out for his first Big Daddy. He has big shoes to fill, as my now (retired due to age restrictions) grand daughter has had quite the run of good finishes in the Big Daddy during her 9 year run. This year also marked my 30 year anniversary of fishing this adult/youth event. I've fished with all three of my kids, a few stand ins during times of illness, now my second grand child. As you age, it's funny how you become more patient and are more attuned to making the child's time more enjoyable, and less time worrying about things that are not in your control. Though they aren't allowed to fish, or help in any way for that matter. My grand daughter Mia, and daughter Jessika wanted to tag along to see how young Ethan would fair in his first tourney. I thoroughly enjoyed having the whole gang spend time with their Papa doing what he loves. The weather wasn't the best, but biting fish and good family fun and laughs made for a fantastic trip and memory. We didn't win the tourney, (finished 2nd) but it was a win for me in every sense of the word. I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story.
