Lake Murray
fished murray today. water was pretty dingy. water temp was 54-59 deg. flat line trolled. made a pull from the bridge in cloud ck. to the landing caught 2 crappie. went to spring ck. made a pull and got nothing. went to hawlee ck. started in the back in 9 ft. and pulled out around the hump. caught 1 crappie at the hump. 12:00 cheese burger time at buffalo grill. tried a pull in martin ck. had a few pulls but caught nothing. headed back up little saluda to the rock wall above cloud ck. nothing!! back to cloud ck to finish the day caught 1 more. didn't mark many fish. shouldn't be too long before it gets better. the bradford pears are starting to bloom down there. i think i need a hot tip form allen42. murray humbled me today. it was my first trolling trip this spring. had a good time fellowshiping with my ole fishing partner and it beat watching tv. can't wait till next week to try again. hope this report doesn't discourage any one. i figure if you go enough sooner or later you'll hit a home run and fill the cooler.

I fished Friday on Murray & we ended up with 25 keepers, of those we kept 4 large perch, 6 of the Crappies were on the small size( around 1/2 pound, the rest were some really nice fish with 2 almost hitting the 2 pound mark. We trolled & our hot jig yesterday was a Lime triple riple . went last night & got some new batterys & planing on another trip sunday , Dont know weather to go to Clarks Hill or back to Murray .
Our Fish we caught were in the rocky creek part of the lake

thanks allen42 came by rocky ck. yesterday and discussed trying rocky and talked my buddy out of it? stupid move on my part. i'd tried rocky in the past and came up empty. tried places i had success in the past. glad you had a good day. the 4 fish i caught were over a pound and came on a 1/8 ounce jig trolled at 1mph. color was a junebug slider. were you in the back of the crk?

We MOSt always use 1/16th jig heads ,unless we are trolling in water less than 12 foot deep . We were in a creek below Rocky & Buffalo , Not sure of the name of it, it isnt listed on my GSP . I am pretty sure we are gonna head to Clarks hill & try & catch some SLAB A DABBERS tomorrow .I'll let yall know how we do ...

Was catching good fish until all the rain then its been to muddy or debris floating around. Tried around lower end but not getting good numbers had some good ones but no numbers, my buddy boated one wedn. in dordon at 2lbs. 10 ounces but were not getting but 10 or 12 each trip. the rest around a pound or better.
