Went down to the creek to see if it's was fishable, Still not ready.
If people concentrated on the REALLY important things in life....
there would be a shortage of fishing poles !
That's a lot of water!
alot of water for sure, dont look to muddy though, the last time i was down there in those conditions 3 summers ago,i latched on to that big blue[53 lbs],a good time to be anchored up down there for cats,i caught it just below the powerlines on the right looking at the dam,was a heck of a fight with all that current and that bruiser pulling on that rod
what's it normally look like?
G3PO

Hadn't seen that before!
slab_hunter_29730, were you on Stumpy or below the Cedar Creek dam when you hooked that blue?
John 21:3
Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We are going with you also." They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.
And we act like this Nightstalking thing is new.
For some excitment, read the next verse. A special guest arrived, they filled their coolers and had a fish fry on the beach...in the morning. My kind of people.- Bowfin
heres a photo of the cedar creek dam behind kim when things are a little quieter down there![]()
listen with your eyes---its the only way to beleive what you hear...
i was on cedar creek side, down by the the powerline on the right if your looking towards the dam,the powerline area always seems to hold fish for some reason, which brings up another question some of you guys may have some imput on,what makes the powerlines attractive to fish,I have heard different theories on this before, but everywhere i have fished,Big Allison on wylie, trolling for crappie,Crowders creek for crappie, cedar creek for cats and stripers, all have powerlines crossing and always seems to be holding fish, any of you guys ever heard of powerlines being some type of fish attractor, maybe this sounds like a dumb question, but if ya put it all together, heck i go for it,always catch fish near them, what yall think?
I think your on to something, I've had similar experiences, more often when water wasn't at full flow(gates open). If you ever use carbon fishing rods under the lines, be careful.Originally Posted by slab_hunter_29730
