    Default Lake Murray

Hi all I'm new this is my first post on crappie.com. I fish Lake Murray, SC it's about 15 miles from where I live in Lexington. I've been catching monster bass for about 20 years but desire to start slaying crappie.

I went out today, Saturday 3/3/07 the wind was blowing so hard fishing was pretty much impossible. I came in after a couple hours. No luck I fished white and purple jigs tipped with minnows and white/chartreuse jigs in 10 - 20 feet deep. I really was not able to maintain position over brush my drag anchor could not hold the boat with all the wind, suppose I'll have to buy another one.

Anyway the water was stained to muddy and surface temperature at 51 degrees.

Any tips to help give a jump start on catching Lake Murray crappie?

    Cool

Thank you for the warm welcome! Hopefully next weekend will be better. I found a site with updated fishing reports.
