    Default something to try....

if you got a free rod holder on your nightstalk setup heres something to try that may put a extra fish or two in the cooler. put a couple flick tails or comparabel jigs on a rod and drop it down about 10 ft or so and set the rod in the holder and sorta keep you eye on it. the rocking of the boat will work the jig and you may be suprised at what you catch. dont worry about settin the hook. the fish will do it for you.

I've thought about doing this before, because I usually catch bigger crappie on jigs during the day.

    Rango,

Do you catch bigger fish doing this?

Rango.....The fish that won the Feb rodeo was caught on a white jig just like you are saying to do. Rod over to the side out of the way and out of mind till its bent down.

i wouldnt say they are bigger, but like i said, if you put it in the holer and forget it till the rod goes down, its a good way to pick up some extry fish here and there.
