    Default Edisto river

Hit river saturday morning slow day with river rising from all rain we had last night. Caught 10 re dbreast and a bunch of jack fish. It was nice on water seen 1 boat all day . Looking forward to fall and crappie biting again with no boat traffic. I stick to river for next couple months.

Gorgeous fish LL43! Reminds me of a Duane Raver print I have of redbreast around cypress knees that he painted for the Pechman Fishing Ctr in Fayetteville, NC. It was a fundraising print for the NCWRC.

Ronnie, that is made to order for a kayak. Sure looks inviting, because the temperatures have started climbing again and it looks cool on the river. I have read that the Edisto is the longest free flowing black river in the US.

    Mark,
Great report. I have been catfishing in order to avoid the boats from striper fishing.

Nice catch. Are they still biting crickets? Thought I might try some minnows and jigs.
