    Default Double Minnow rigs

Do any of you use double minnow rigs? If so, how do you store your rods with them on? I have tried these some but did not catch many fish with them and they were hard to handle. Thanks for you input.

I buy rolls of Velcro, cut strips to wrap around each jig on my trolling rods. Works pretty well.

I have cut chunks off a swim noodle to bury the hooks into and that worked fairly well when I used double hook rigs. I quit using 'em as I found I didnt catch any more fish using double hooks and I was going thru minners WAY faster using double hooks.

Try pipe insulation. Hook your hooks into it and pop it onto the rod

This is a long answer for you but it might help someone. I have tweaked and tweaked and tweaked. I finally came up with a system that works for me. Because I use four different sysytems based on what I want to do that day. I will use my jig poles in brush or docks. I have 8 other poles I use for Spider Rigging, flat-lining and tight-lining. So I needed a system that is easy to change over. Here is what I came up with. My long poles have 8 or 6 pound high visibility line. I tie a swivel clasp (A) at the end. Then I will use a leader with the other three types with a 6 pound fluorocarbon tied with part (b) barrel swivel. So I have my leader with jigs in zip bags for flatlining. leader with Jig and hook for spider rigging with the weight (c) attached to top of (A) in zip bags. Then I have my perch rig with weight on bottom and two hooks above with (B) at top of leader attached to (A). Perch prefer this type of rig because you can bounce the bottom and it drives them nuts. So you can see I can change system real quick. My double rigs when I do not have my poles in water I unattached the leader for storage or running on the lake in Zip bags.

Went Monday and fished on a flat 35 feet deep and killed the perch. Next to main channel across from Ebenezer. You know where.
