caught 17 today still not as large as i want but still a pretty good day fishing in the rain. was in the mill creek area between sparkleberry landing and otter flats

It looks like things are picking up a little early this year. The water temp was 61 yesterday.

a little warmer this afternoon where i was, i caught all mine with minnows although i had rather use a jig and do most all the time, but i cant seem to get anything on a jig.

Jigs have been dead for me also. I'm a jig man myself also, dead so far this year. Just minnows seem to be working. The ones that I've caught have been a real pretty color though. About half just under 10 inches, and the others from a pound to pound and a quarter.

Where is mill creek area? take a look at this satellite photo's i've created.
I have enjoyed knowing the names of broadwater, indigo flats, broadwater lake, risers lake, otters creek, etc.
